Aluminum Trench Shields/Boxes

Aluminum Trench Shields/Boxes

Pro-Tec Equipment offers a few different types of Aluminum trench shield (trench box) systems. The ATS Series is a lightweight trench shield (trench box) system designed to be used by rubber-tired backhoes and loaders. The Steel Framed Aluminum Trench Shield combines the best of a steel trench box and an aluminum trench box into one. The MOD Series is lightweight and strong but it is also modular, where even the largest modular panel is designed to be easily transported by pickup truck, if desired.

MOD Assembly

Quick and Easy Assembly

Lightweight 2-foot high aluminum panels are easily unloaded from a pickup truck by hand without the use of machines. No lifting is equipment needed.

Step 1

To begin assembling the shield, two corner end-posts are pinned to side panels and rear panel.

Step 2

Side and rear panels are stacked to desired height.

Step 3

Corner end-posts are pinned in place.

Step 4

Adjustable spreaders pin securely in place to complete a 3-sided shield.

Step 5

Final step. Mod Series trench shields (trench boxes) are easily handled by a rubber-tired backhoe loader.

MOD Sheeting Guide

Mod Sheeting Guide System

Designed to provide crews with a safe working environment, while dealing with crossing and existing utilities, the MOD Sheeting Guide System also allows for the use of rubber-tired backhoes.

A component aluminum trench shield, built off of the MOD Series, the MOD Sheeting Guide System incorporates aluminum sheet pile, sheet stoppers, and corner post to provide crews with the safe working environment they require.

Specially designed steel corner posts, used in conjunction with the MOD Sheeting Guide Panels allow up to 4′ of clearance from the bottom of the panel to the bottom of the excavation. Meaning a two foot tall post and MOD Sheeting Guide panel can provide six feet of protection!

This unique, versatile, aluminum trench box system can be used in 2-, 3-, and 4-sided configurations.

Standard Features:

  • Smooth wall panel design 6061-T6 aluminum construction
  • Panel lengths from 8′ to 14′
  • Standard MOD System Spreader can be used in 2-, and 3-sided configuration
  • Standard MOD System panels can be used in conjunction with Sheeting Guide panels
  • Professional Engineer Certified to meet or exceed O.S.H.A. requirements

Steel Framed Aluminum Trench Shield

Steel Framed Aluminum Trench Box
